Isn't this the reason for having a membership card in the book? About a year ago at Cannery, they asked to see the card before giving the 4 of a kind bonus.

I do have another problem with the ACG coupons - too many of them are for new slot members only. This is not the case for POV coupons.

OMG...Let me see if I can make this clear. I think it would be nice if the coupons were in a seaparte book. As it stands now the book is too big and inconvenient to haul around. If you had the coupons in a pocket size book, I would then scarry just that in my pocket.

Also if the coupons were made to take out in front of the employee at the casino (like member rewards POV) it would stop alot of the coupon abuse, which I am sure casinos are worried about.

You don't need to make it clear to me as I understood what you said. However, I don't agree with you.

The bottom line is that the American Casino Guide is distributed in a different manner than the Las Vegas Advisor. There will not be a separate book printed for the coupons.

Thus the reason we subscribe to LVA and not ACG.

Ask your members their thoughts...you might be surprised

First, I'm not here to defend anybody.

My friends & I spend more $$$ (anywhere between $500 to more than $1000 ; that's many ACG books) every year buying ACG books than LVA-POV books because ACG is a whole lot cheaper than LVA-POV's subscription.

My friends & I do use the ACG's "2-for-1 buffet" & "matchplay" coupons that are in the books --> so I don't mind if ACG is big in size or not --> it's all about the cost (1-ACG book is nearly as valuable as 1-LVA-POV book).

Not really (& depends on how you use those books ; for "2-for-1 buffets" or for "matchplay" coupons).

Yes, LVA-POV does have some coupons that ACG does not have ; that's fine with me (then I just don't visit them that often or don't get my business).

Forgot to compare them this way :

3 x ACG ~ $33 (look at other online stores for that price-shipped)

1 x LVA-POV ~ $37 (online-version)

That's why almost all of my local friends rather buy the ACG's than the LVA-POV.

I only buy about 3 (or 4-max) of the LVA-POV per year.

Limit is 2 per year

The coupons are not tradeable either.

Why many like ACG better is because you can trade and abuse the hell out of the coupons. We prefer to have the coupons around for awhile thats why we do not ABUSE them like so many others do. Its always the minority that wreck it for the majority. Just like you buying more than the limit of POV's. One day that will change thanks to YOUR abuse
