Notice of American Casino Guide Coupon Changes

We now have a page on our web site that lists any changes that have been made to coupons in the American Casino Guide.

This new web site page will be advertised in the 2008 edition of the book and I just updated it with information about changes for the current 2007 edition.

I last visited Las Vegas 9/2-9/5. In that time I tried 3 different times to use my free Hot dog & a beer only to be denied. I was told by the bar manager (maybe lead bartender)they quit honoring them 9/1

That coupon is stll being honored and upper management has instructed their employees to honor it.

Since you say the bartender wouldn't honor the free hot sog and a beer coupon I am wondering why you went to the bartender first?

The coupon clearly says to present it at the hot dog cart and not at the bar.

Once it's presented at the cart the vendor gives you the free hot dog, along with a voucher to present to the bartender for your free drink.

That is exactly what I did. The lady at the hot dog stand, after I began to chew on her ear refered me to the manager/bartender. He said 'read the coupon, this has not been the Barbary Coast for 3 months' I continued by saying that they have been honoring these coupons as late as just a few days ago (I know this from reading this message board) That is when he said they discontinued honoring them 9/1. I returned twice after that when the cart was manned by other employees, only to be told that they have been instructed Not to accept the
coupons. Harrahs continues to disapoint me.

I used mine in late Aug,but they did not want to honor it,I had to ask to speake with a supervisor.

Management knew about a problem in the past, but assured us that they spoke to their employees about it and that the coupons would be honored. I hadn't gotten any complaints since that time, so I assumed that everything was fine.

Sometimes an employee may not be familiar with the company's policy. Anytime you encounter a problem with redeeming a coupon you should not be confrontational. Just try to document the situation by noting the date and time that it happened. If possible, try to get the name of the person, if you can't get the name, then perhaps a description and their job title. Let us know about it and we will try to straighten it out.

I used two on Sept1st without a problem.

What's needed here is a MANAGER to ask for, by nsme, from Steve Bourie, so the next person to try can at least get a person aware of aceptance of the current coupons !!!!!!

I won't be back til '08...but having a NAME to bandy about will help '07 travelers.

Our contact is in the marketing department and that person's name wouldn't be familiar to the people who redeem the coupons.

Our contact has sent a memo to the food & beverage department asking them to remind their staff that the coupons are still being accepted.

Hopefully, that will resolve the situation.

The fuss & confusion about this deal leads me to believe that we will not be seeing this offer in the 2008 coupon book. I would suggest all the die harded to take full advantage of this deal now.
