Don't Pass/Come (1.4%) is a tad better than Pass/Come(1.41%). The problem with playing BJ is you don't get paid 3/2 if you snag a snapper so that costs you 2.3%, plus the normal vig. Roulette double zero 5.24%, single zero 2.4%.

But is your time worth more than the few cents you give up for than $2/5/10 Match Play? Roulette is painless, 10 seconds for the outcome to be decided.

On BJ you might irritate other players or have to wait for a shuffle. On Craps the outcome of your bet might take several minutes to win or lose.

Iam4jacks ...

Hitting a BJ 'snapper' does NOT 'cost' you anything. You still get paid 3/2 on your money bet, and ALL coupons only pay even money, no matter what the game is. Plus you also have the opportunity to catch a split, or a double on your money bet.

Re: I am looking at this all wrong - a mp is not worth 0 if you lose.

That is not what I meant - A $5 mp is in theory worth about $2.30 to $2.45 depending on what game you play. HOWEVER IN REALITY IT IS EITHER WORTH $5 if you win and $0 if you lose.

Therefore a bet where you have a 47% chance of winning is BETTER than a game where you have a 43% chance of winning, even if in the case of the 43% chance you have the opportunity to double down and so forth.

CRAPS DONT PASS STILL REMAINS THE MATHEMATICALLY BEST BET

HOWEVER I TEND TO AGREEE with whoever said any match play is a positive return so it might be easier to play it on roulette with a 5.26 house advantage for the convenience factor.

In the past I never played my mps on roulette unless they were roulette specific but in the future I may do so for that very reason.
