I find the Super Times Pay Poker machines very interesting, and fun to play, but are their house edges better, worse or the same as the normal games (ie. bonus poker, JoB, double double bonus etc.)they are based on?

You can get a close approximante EV by multiplying the base EV of any STP game by 1.00278.
For 9/6 JB the base EV is 99.544%.
For STP (9/6 JB) 99.544*1.00278=99.821%
