Default Roulette/Martingale system?

Gentlemen,

I have been working on a system using two column bets that pay three in return. Using this formula
with the Martingale seems to up the % of possible return rather than a 50/50 type odds bet.

Do you have the resourses to help me with the exact per cent ratio that this might yield. Once I
build some profit, I start adding the 1/18 and the 19/23 with what ever end of columns that I am using, and I always use the center column.

As you can see this take up a lot of time for a very small profit. Also if you vary from the
formula it can be a disaster.

Regards,

John

There is no way to get a mathematical edge over the casino at roulette and there is no such thing as a winning Martingale system for roulette.

The only way you can beat roulette in the long run is to find a biased wheel, or some other method that allows you to know which numbers come up more often than they normally should.

By using the Martingale system, you would have over a 50/50 change of winning but when you are risking winning a small amount against losing a huge amount. Also, why play Roulette which has a Huge house advantage. Why not do the Martingale on the Pass Line on Craps which has a much smaller House edge (approx 1.4% vs over 5.0%).

Martingale systems strive to win one unit before you go bust. Now if you had a unlimited bankroll and found a casino that offers unlimited spreads, you are in business.

But alas, most joints min-max is at best 1-100 units like $5 min and $500 max. After losing six even money bets in a row and doubling the bet+1 you hit the max.

I've seen some green stamp machine.
What is the best way to play them and for how much ?

How can you tell when the machine is possitive?

How much and how many times should you bank them>

Thank you
Harriet

Harriet,

Myabe you should open a new thread with this question instead of burying in a thread about Martingale systems.

Here's a little quiz for you on roulette. Which bet has the lowest house edge; red, even, 1-18, 1-12 or a 6 way? Answer: They all have a 5.26% house edge.

In fact , every bet at roulette ( except for the 0 00 1 2 3 five way bet) has a house edge of 5.26%. How can a system beat that?

And ... the '5-number bet' is worse than 5.26%.

IF (fat chance) ... you could ever find a 'single-zero' wheel, the house edge drops to about 2.6%.

I know it's not live roulette, but many Las Vegas casinos added video roulette slot machines in the last year. They range in denomination from .01 to .05, .25, and even $1 depending on the casino. And they are SINGLE-zero.

They can be alot of fun because of the low outlay, maybe a good practicing tool for the real thing. I found I could play quite a lengthy time on them and either break even or win a little bit. It's important to make reasonable bets and don't get carried away with bets on over half the board.
