Default Anyone win at Video Poker in Vegas ?

I usually don't. I'm talking if you don't hit a RF or a bunch of Quad Ducks ?

Please don't tell me about ONE trip...I'm talking if you played on MANY trips.

If you ask the pros who play VP for a steady living, they will tell you that the majority of their sessions are negative. Key is a adequate & sufficient bankroll to wait out the Royal Flush. Four ducks is a nice consolation prize for a lot of folks including myself. In the short run, four ducks is a nice payoff to braaking even

Hi, there:

This is Luke. I played in Ho-Chunk to see if there are VP to get the Royal Flush. I am not sure which machines are the right choice. I just learned to play VP. Life is not easy. Machines are tighter and tighter. Traditional machines like double dimands, wild cherry are almost gone. I even try to play black jack, but things are not good enough. Does anybody have suggestions?

Good luck.

Luke.

You can add my name to the winning list all the time...that is if you know how to play...if you do your homework you will find out, this is why they are removing many multihand video poker machines from casinos. Along with doing your homework, you need to be lucky...the longer you play, the better your odds...but playing the game for entertainment should be your ultimate goal...then you are always a winner.

Just a comment.

If you are playing a positive expectation game (Double Bonus, Some Deuces, Etc), the longer you play perfectly, the better off you are.

If you are playing a negative expectation game (Jacks or Better, Some Deuces, Etc), the longer you play perfectly, the worse off you are.

In addition, of course, Slot Club Benefits figure into the mix.

As I said, just a comment.

Excalibur has a bar towards the back door (pool) that are pretty nice. They are multi-machine multi-denomination. I hit about $100 (started at $20) with about 1 hour of play on quarters (lots of 4 of a kinds). My wife hit the RF on our last night, but we were playing for comp drinks, so she was minimum betting. We settled for $62.50 instead of $1000.

The bottom line is that you are going to lose unless you get lucky. It makes no difference if the payback on the machine is 99% or 101%. Without the RF or a big paying quad (lots of them) you ain't gonna do nothing. Play for enjoyment because in the short term anything can happen. I've played lots of VP for over 10 years, have had 5 RFs and am still way behind. Sorry, but that's just the way it is.
