Default Class 3 slots converted from Class 2?

Now that the Seminole Hard Rock casinos are installing class 3 slots, a question came to mind: Can their present class 2 slots be converted to class 3, or do they have to purchase new class 3 slot machines?

I would assume that they need to be replaced because in the old Class II system all transactions went through a central server.

With Class II slots, it's just you against the machine and each machine has its own chip.

By the way, they have added video poker at the Seminole Hard Rock. The Jacks or Better games for both quarter and $1 players have a 7/5 paytable. Not very good, but I guess it's expected in this market.

7/5 or 9/6--you can still get Royal Flushes on either & even win on low-pay in the short run.

I've had 6 Royal Flushes (ever)--EVERY ONE was on SHORT PAY machines !!!
