Three-Dimensional Video Navigation Immerses User in the CityCenter Experience

LAS VEGAS – (November 18, 2009) – An evolutionary destination designed to transform Las Vegas at its core, CityCenter will be unveiled to the world this December. Yet now, weeks before the groundbreaking project opens its doors to the public, people everywhere can sample some of the energy and sophistication of CityCenter without ever leaving their chairs.

Just launched, CityCenter’s new Web site, www.citycenter.com, takes visitors on an interactive cinematic journey, allowing them to discover virtually why CityCenter is destined to forever change the face of the Las Vegas Strip.

CityCenter is an unparalleled urban development brought to life by eight world-renowned architects. Much more than a collection of resorts and residences in the center of the Las Vegas Strip, CityCenter will be a community – a welcoming environment for people to gather, relax and enjoy. Great pedestrian corridors, dynamic public spaces, authentic richness and diversity of experiences will evoke the energy of the world’s most exciting places. Highly innovative and inviting, CityCenter’s newly launched site epitomizes the very essence of this extraordinary resort destination.

“Through cutting-edge technology, this new site provides the best online experience for our guests,” said Bobby Baldwin, CityCenter’s president and CEO. “Travelers planning a trip to Las Vegas can visit the site and within moments understand why CityCenter will be the destination of choice on the Las Vegas Strip.”

From the moment visitors enter the site they have the opportunity to craft their own journey. Just as within CityCenter itself, intrigue awaits around every corner, enticing guests to delve deeper into the project, learning and experiencing along the way. Moving the mouse over the various resort images makes options come alive, while the click of a button pulls viewers into CityCenter via cinematic flythroughs. Full-motion 3-D video treats visitors to a compelling visual tour, providing the sensation of actually being in the center of the city.

“The quality of CityCenter, with its range of amenities, the acclaim of those who helped bring it to life and the ambitious cultural and ecological accomplishments demanded an unconventional approach,” said John Schadler, managing partner of SK+G, the Web site’s designer.
Once stopped on the image of a particular resort, a simple click provides users with general information, a link to the hotel’s individual Web site, and additional options, including a video exploration highlighting the unique character of each resort and the amenities available.

Functional layouts make navigation user-friendly, with no need to back-button click to continue exploration. Dedicated links take visitors to information regarding CityCenter’s unprecedented public Fine Art Collection and the award-winning architects behind the project. Also easily accessible via a dedicated link are details on the development’s commitment to sustainability. Upon opening, CityCenter will be one of the world’s largest green developments, having already earned several Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Gold certifications.

A unique directory allows users to search by category – from dining and spa to entertainment, accommodations and shopping – to discover more about the vast array of offerings available throughout the destination and help guests plan their visit in advance.

With the same ease, visitors looking to simply book their vacation at a CityCenter resort get immediate access to reservations from every page of the site.

“In developing this Web site, we focused on establishing an immersive, first-person perspective that puts the entire collection of CityCenter’s brands at the visitor’s fingertips,” Schadler said. “We utilized full-motion 3-D elements as the basis of navigation to draw visitors in while providing an enhanced sense of both scale and detail. The goal is to intrigue guests by giving them a quick taste of the CityCenter experience and its rich list of offerings.”

Went to the casino last weekend with a buddy to play poker! the poker room is the nicest part of the casino...the slots were the tightest I HAVE EVER seen...no one winning, the table games were busy, but no one winning there either.

The hotel is not finished yet...so it is not a resort, nor do they comp rooms...we stayed nearby...at $129 a night...no comps, we dropped a few thousand there...and the food buffet was too high priced $22.95, for what? We went to Cracker Barrel for better food.

This casino is one of the worst pay-out casinos in America...save your time and money and go elsewhere for gaming fun!

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. -- November 19, 2009 - When Seminole Casino Hollywood (known as Classic) opened its doors in 1979 as a bingo parlor, it pioneered the Native American gaming movement. To celebrate its 30th anniversary, on Sunday, December 13 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Classic will host an unprecedented $1 million prize Seminole Satellite Bingo Game that will be simulcast across six Seminole Casinos via intranet. The other participating casinos are: Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood; Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Tampa; Seminole Casino, Immokalee; Seminole Casino, Coconut Creek; and Seminole Casino, Brighton. Early Bird tickets for the event go on sale Friday, November 20 at each casino.

"We've come a long way since the first Native American high stakes bingo hall opened 30 years ago right here on U.S. 441,” said Jeffrey Hook, senior vice president of marketing for Seminole Gaming. “This will be a really fun way to celebrate with our many customers throughout the state both the success of the tribe and the many winners we continue to make."

The buy-in of more than 30 games will cost $95 for early bird tickets, $110 day of the event. Tickets can be purchased beginning Nov. 20 at each casino. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis based on available seating at each casino. Players will play at the location at which they’ve purchased their ticket only, and must be 18 or older to participate; identification will be required. No refunds will be given once a ticket is issued.

The Super Jackpot Million Dollar Bingo Game will consist of one “cover all” game. The first person to successfully cover all of the spaces on their card in 48 numbers or less will win the $1 million grand prize. If no participant fills their card in 48 numbers or less, a $50,000 prize will be awarded to the first participant to fill their card in 49 or more numbers. Prizes are subject to verification by the prize provider and will be paid once authenticity is verified. In the event of multiple winners, the prize will be divided among the number of winners and shared equally.

The purchase package includes 30 games that will pay out $2,500 each, and one Super Jackpot for the million dollars. Additional jackpots will be available for purchase on the day of the game. There also will be two additional “specials” available for purchase for from $2 to $5 that will pay out from $2,000 to $10,000. In all, more than $160,000 will be paid out, guaranteed, for the day.

About Seminole Gaming - In addition to its two Seminole Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos in Tampa and Hollywood, Fla., the Seminole Tribe owns and operates five more Seminole-branded Florida casinos in Coconut Creek and Hollywood on the Southeast coast, in Immokalee near Naples, on the Brighton Reservation north of Lake Okeechobee and on the Big Cypress Reservation south of Lake Okeechobee. The Seminole Tribe has long been recognized for innovation in its gaming and other businesses. It opened the first high-stakes bingo hall and casino in the United States in 1979. That facility was the forerunner of the Indian Gaming movement throughout North America.

Sheraton Casino and Hotel will close December 14 to remodel and open as Tunica Roadhouse on December 18

TUNICA, Miss. – November 19, 2009 – Harrah’s Entertainment Mid-South Region today announced the remodeling and name change of Sheraton Casino and Hotel Tunica to Tunica Roadhouse Casino and Hotel.

Sheraton Casino and Hotel will close to the public at 12:01 a.m. December 14, 2009 in order to transform the 15 year-old casino and hotel into the new Tunica Roadhouse Casino and Hotel. Tunica Roadhouse will open to the public December 18, 2009 at 5 p.m.

The renovation will include remodeling to the interior and design of the casino, food and beverage outlets, and hotel rooms. In a span of four days Sheraton Casino and Hotel is set to become a bluesy, southern rock roadhouse complete with an authentic interior, additional bar and pub games, a mechanical bull, increased entertainment offerings, and, of course, slot machines and table games offering generous odds of winning for a comparatively low investment.

“The Sheraton Casino and Hotel has been one of most enjoyed and best loved casinos in the Tunica market for 15 years. As we look forward to an exciting future for the Tunica Roadhouse we would like to recognize all of the employees and customers that made the Sheraton one of Tunica’s favorite gaming destinations over the years,” said R. Scott Barber, regional president, Harrah’s Mid-South Region. “Many of the qualities we have all grown to love about the Sheraton such as its friendly, welcoming atmosphere and the offer of a great value will live on and flourish at the new Tunica Roadhouse.”

Saw no one wiping down machines or counters. They were very sticky. The casino, especially the non smoking area smelled like burnt grease. On the other hand, the buffet was very good, especially the prime rib. Good variety of dishes. Will probably not go back to this casino.

My wife and I stayed one night in the hotel and WISH WE HADN'T. First let me say that both my wife and I are reformed smokers. The staff at the hotel was very gracious and professional. The room was very nice and well kept.

The Casino was wonderful, small, quiet and friendly. The problem was with the ventilation system in the hotel - it simply didn't work correctly. The smell of cigarette smoke was so bad, it was difficult to breathe at times. Clothes still packed in the suitcase smelled of cigarette smoke after only a couple of hours.

We had a no smoking room but may as well have had a tent over the room, with all the smokers in the casino exhaling into that tent!! I woke up at 1:00 a.m.; sinus' bleeding, dry raspy throat and would have left except, where are you going to go at 1 a.m.? We were 2.5 hours from home. We toughed it out, ate breakfast (which was very good) and left. Unless you REALLY enjoy smelling like a stale pack of pre-smoked cigarettes, I would recommend finding a hotel room elsewhere, enjoy the casino, then leave!
Live shows at the bar, Blackjack and Craps.
Great steaks and other goodies.
But for whatever reason they closed the blackjack and craps tables and cut service down to nothing.
Its too bad, Had some real fun there.
Somebody always has to screw up a good thing.

You know, for all you people who've been here "more than 10 times" and COMPLAIN......two words for you: GO ELSEWHERE! I've gambled in PA, WV, NY, DE, NV and yes...I even gambled in homes across PA. If I didn't like the way things were going, I'd leave. SO, if the gaming sucks somewhere, don't complain, just STAY AWAY. You ruin it for someone who wants to go have fun but runs scared because of your snipping!

As for you all who enjoyed your stay, CUDOS! You have a few minor complaints but nothing where you tell everyone to stay away.

As for me, I'll be gambling in EVERY place I can as long as I have 2 nickels to rub together, whether they PAY OUT or NOT!

P.S. I only rated the Table Games a 1 for one reason....I prefer LIVE dealers!
