Default Las Vegas Rocks Café to open at Neonopolis in Downtown Las Vegas

Entertainer Tony Sacca Will Design Las Vegas Rocks Café at Neonopolis

LAS VEGAS – Sept. 23, 2009 - After a remodel, longtime producer, host and entertainer Tony Sacca plans to open the Las Vegas Rocks Café, a Las Vegas history-themed restaurant at Neonopolis downtown in the space once occupied by Jillian’s. The new eatery will offer themed-style foods and an atmosphere filled with a historical perspective on Las Vegas.

“What a perfect fit,” says Sacca, “To have the Las Vegas Rocks Café situated on Fremont Street and Las Vegas Boulevard, where the ‘real’ Las Vegas began.”

The owner of the controversial Neonopolis, Rohit Joshi says, “I do believe that if anything can be successful in this location, it’s the Las Vegas Rocks Café.”

The café will have a creative menu with items named after legendary entertainers and food selections such as the “topless dancer,” an open face turkey breast sandwich, that will be trade marked.

Sacca will partner with food manufacturer, bakery owner and internationally known Chef Josette Leblond, who has the experience and knowledge to operate a restaurant and produce fresh foods. Chef Josette has opened and sold a variety of restaurants from France to the United States, and she is also the creator and owner of Normandie Pate.

Four years ago when Sacca celebrated the 20th anniversary of his television show, “Entertainment Las Vegas Style,” he wrote the song “Las Vegas Rocks.” His next creation was the Las Vegas Rocks musical clock and a line of souvenirs soon followed that are being sold at gift shops.

From producing, hosting and researching Las Vegas history for his television show for 24 years, Sacca has developed a library that captures and catalogues interviews with more than 500 major celebrities, specialty acts, lounge acts, producers, and video coverage of show and hotel openings and implosions.

“This project seems like my destiny,” claims Sacca, who moved to Las Vegas in April 1981. “We’re aiming to have a soft opening in early December and be ready ‘to rock’ for New Year’s Eve.”
