Mystique -- A Truly Great Experience

Mystique Casino (formerly Dubuque Greyhound Park) is truly a great slot experience. They have a wide variety of slot machines in all demoninations and a convenient layout. There are two separate areas -- the main floor is active and large -- the upper level is smaller but quieter for those that do not like all the noise. There is also a smaller non-smoking area. The Allure Club offers good comps and promotions -- one this month on Mondays randomly selects a slot machine player for $100 in free play dollars and everyone a that bank of machines also receives $25 in free play. This offer is made every 1/2 hour in the afternoon and evening. They also have a nice shop to the left of the main entrance that features purses, jewelry, scarves, ties, etc. for $10 each. On my recent visit I was able to play all day and late into the evening on the $20 I started with. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Also many of the formerly two-cent and five-cent machines have been changed to penny machines which greatly adds to the enjoyment. The breakfast buffet for $4.99 is great -- made to order waffles and omelets along with the more usual breakfast buffet items -- it is truly a great value.
