Default Re: Atlantic City Smoking and The Donald

Whenever non-smoking is manated for casinos it always hurts their business. That's why the Donald is against it. See below story

New Jersey (Atlantic City) - Star-Ledger - Donald Trump called on 11 casinos Thursday to sue over a new smoking ban approved by the Atlantic City Council, arguing that it created a competitive disadvantage, according to a report in the Associated Press. The real estate magnate, chairman of a company that owns three casinos in Atlantic City, said he would not file his own suit but wants the Casino Association of New Jersey to stop the ban from taking effect in October.

I vehemently disagree with you. There is no correlaton between smoking and gambling. After a time it will be the same as always and in fact. better for everyone. This absurd notion that gambling and smoking go hand in hand is ridiculous. The only problem Atlantic City faces is the proliferation of slots parlors in Pennsylvania because unlike New York, the slots and video poker machines in Pennsylvania are operated by RANDON NUMBER GENERATORS. Unlike the New York slot parlors that are operated by VIDEO LOTTERY TERMINALS. VLT'S are controlled by a cental computer terminal in Albany, NY which decide which machine shall benefit by the roll of the chip as opposed by the RANDOM NUIMBER GENERATOR which is separate and distinct to that own machine. Do you agree Mr. Bourie? Any comments please? Each machine in AC has its own computer chip, hence, playing video poker on a VLT is useless. Thank you for your attention.

My point is this, Les. I do not understand why people would play VLT'S. I did play at Monticello and Yonkers before I learned they were VLT'S; now I no longer visit them. I want to control my own game and not have a central computer decide it for me. Do you agree?

AGREED !!! Stay away from VLT's...although that may be the only game in town at those tracks ?
Ever see me in the winners' circle at Monticello presenting the trophies on GREY HORSE RACE days in Septembers' past ?
