I heard back today from my Alamo contact.
Evidently, there was some sort of glitch in their computer system and the coupon was not being accepted.
It has been corrected and it should work fine now.
I just booked a car for myself for a five-day trip to Vegas later this month. The cost for the five-day rental (before taxes) was $77 after all of the discounts were applied.
That's only about $15 a day, which is a very good rate.
