LAS VEGAS (June 26, 2015) – Texas Station, a locals’ favorite casino in North Las Vegas, will celebrate its 20th anniversary this July. The casino, which opened on July 12, 1995, is marking the celebration with a variety of month-long dining specials and daily gaming promotions, while honoring its more than 60 team members who have been there since day one.
The opening of Texas Station in 1995 was a highlight in Station Casinos’ history as it marked the Company’s third property and its first in North Las Vegas, further bolstering Station Casinos’ presence in the locals market. The inspiration behind the property’s Lone Star theme was attributed to the company’s founding family, the Fertitta’s, who are originally from Galveston, Texas but relocated to Las Vegas in the early 1960s. Texas Station’s amenities and attractions were designed to match the local consumer demand of great value and service on entertainment, gaming and dining, which the property still offers to this day. Over the years, the casino has seen numerous additions such as a bowling center, more than 40,000 square feet of meeting space, additional parking garages and much more, and now features 270,000 square feet of gaming, entertainment, meeting and hotel space.
Texas Station prides itself on providing the friendliest and best service in town, as well as being a contributing part of its community, made possible by its team members. There are more than 60 original team members still working at the property today, which is just less than 10-percent of its current workforce and many others who have transferred to other properties as the Company has grown. Texas Station will honor these team members with a commemorative 20-year pin, which will be worn to distinguish themselves to fellow colleagues and guests.
Additionally, the property kicked off a “20 Good Deeds” initiative leading up to its 20th anniversary providing donations and volunteer work for 20 different efforts in the past year. This included donating the use of a building and construction costs to Southern Nevada Children’s First Charity, donating stuffed animals to the North Las Vegas Police Department and supporting its Smart Start partner C.P. Squires Elementary, to name a few.

Several restaurants and bars will offer 20th anniversary-inspired food and beverage specials to honor the casino’s milestone. Each dining special pays tribute to three of the property’s original restaurants: Stockyard Steakhouse, Galveston Bay Seafood Company and the Yellow Rose Café with each special menu item at an incredible value of a $20 price point.

Monday:
- $20,000 Texas Fast Money Mondays
- Texas Station will host $20,000 Texas Fast Money Mondays with a free slot play giveaway and drawing throughout July from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Every Monday, four guests actively playing a machine will be randomly selected every hour to win $100 in free slot play. Guests can also earn entries through qualified play into the Fast Money Drawing all month long for the chance to win their share of $4,000 at the drawing held on Monday, July 27 at 8:15 p.m.
Tuesday:
- $8,000 Video Poker Tournaments
- Texas Station will host video poker tournaments every Tuesday in July from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Guests will receive one free electronic entry with of the opportunity to earn three additional entries into the tournament. The top 20 daily scores will be awarded up to $1,000 in cash prizes.
Wednesday:
- My Generation Senior 50+ Wednesdays
- Guests ages 50 and older will receive up to 10-times points on slots and 6-times points on video poker every Wednesday in July with the Boarding Pass Mystery Multiplier, as well as a free slot tournament entry, half-point bingo and bowling, dining deals, $4 movie matinees and free Starbucks coffee.
Thursday:
- $80,000 Texas Tornado Drawings
- Guests can earn their way into the $80,000 Texas Tornado Drawings every Thursday with live drawings at 7:15 p.m. July 9, 16, 23 and 30. Guests can earn entries beginning July 2 by playing their favorite, slots, table games and bingo. Each Thursday, 10 winners will be entered into the “Texas Tornado Machine” where they will be able to grab as many of the money vouchers, ranging from $1 to $100, as possible within 30 seconds.
Friday and Saturday:
- $1 Million Classic Summer Scratch & Win and Summer Fun Cash Drawings at Station Casinos
- Players will have their turn to scratch and win from a variety of prizes, including up to $1,000 cash, in the Station Casinos $1 Million Classic Summer Scratch & Win giveaway every Friday and Saturday from June 29 through July 26. Guests must be a Boarding Pass card holder in order to play and will have either received a scratch card in the mail or can play and earn 300 base points every Friday and Saturday to receive a scratch card.
- Beginning June 29, guests may also earn entries into the Summer Fun Cash Drawing for a chance to win up to $5,000. There will be a drawing for 10 winners each Friday at 8:15 p.m. and Sunday at 6:15 p.m. Players may swipe their Boarding Pass card at the Rewards Kiosk for the free entries. Additional entries may be earned by playing their favorite games, and players may earn five-times entries on Wednesdays.
Sunday:
- Gift Days celebrating 20 years of Texas Station
- Beginning July 12, gift giveaways will occur from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 19 and 26. Guests must earn 300 base Boarding Pass points the day of the giveaway, and may keep their points. Invited guests need not earn the base points for redemption. Limit one per person and valid while supplies last.
