Pick the Pros Football Contest Returns to Boyd Gaming
Participation is free and $500,000 in prize money will be awarded during the contest
Las Vegas––Registration has begun for the Pick the Pros football contest at all participating Boyd Gaming locations. Now in its 33rd year, Pick the Pros is the longest-running football contest in Las Vegas. The contest is free and a total of $500,000 will be awarded.
Pick the Pros starts a new contest each week and there are no accumulated points to track, therefore guests can participate in one or all of the weeks in the season, with multiple opportunities to win $30,000 in prize money each week during the 2010 regular professional football season.
Contest participants will not compete against the point spread, but instead pick winners straight-up. Each participant will receive multiple free entries per week to select their winning teams. Ruby cardholders receive three free entries, Sapphire cardholders receive four free entries and Emerald cardholders receive five free entries. The best performer each week is guaranteed a $10,000 top prize; an additional $20,000 will be split by other top players each week.
“This year we’ve incorporated our 60 kiosks throughout our properties, making Pick the Pros automated,” said Bob Scucci, Director of Race and Sports for Boyd Gaming. “The kiosks make participating in Pick the Pros easier and more convenient than ever, further strengthening our reputation as Las Vegas’ premier football contest.”
Players can register at any of the 60 kiosks at Boyd Gaming properties including; The Orleans, Sam’s Town, Suncoast, Gold Coast, California, Fremont, Eldorado, Jokers Wild. Pick the Pros is open to all B Connected and Prime Rewards cardmembers and membership is free. The contest begins on Sunday, September 12, 2010 and will continue each week through January 2, 2011.
