    LAS VEGAS – August 10, 2011 – “Name That Tune,” one of America’s most beloved game shows of all time, makes its live debut at Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, beginning Thursday, August 18. An up-to-date, fast-paced version of the iconic daytime game show, Name That Tune Live! will give 100 participants per show the chance to win thousands of dollars in cash and prizes. With a live DJ, a musical catalog ranging from country to rock n’ roll to Broadway show tunes to Lady Gaga and an amazing set by Emmy Award-winning designer Andy Walmsley, (“American Idol,” “So You Think You Can Dance,” and “The Sing Off,” among others), Name That Tune Live! will be an interactive experience unlike any other and one of the best entertainment values on the famed Las Vegas Strip.

    “Of the many great shows we’ve produced in Las Vegas over the years, the interactive nature and iconic musical history Name That Tune Live! brings to the Las Vegas Strip have me particularly excited,” said Adam Steck, founder and CEO of SPI Entertainment. “It will help fill a void in the Las Vegas entertainment scene, providing musical fun with a very affordable price.”

    Talented duo and Las Vegas favorites, Chris Phillips and Marley Taylor of Zowie Bowie, will guide the contestants along a musical escapade, including many of the famous games and several new twists to the old format. Since moving to Las Vegas from Arizona in 2006, Zowie Bowie has established itself as one of the city’s favorite bands. Their unbridled energy and high-voltage band creates a sizzling and sexy sound, that has become a Las Vegas mainstay.

    Produced by SPI Entertainment in association with Panacea Entertainment, Name That Tune Live! will run Wednesday through Monday, dark on Tuesdays, in the Human Nature Theatre at Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino at 3 p.m. There will be an additional 7:30 p.m. performance on Fridays.     Created by Harry Salter, “Name That Tune” premiered on NBC Radio in 1952 and was followed by its prime time television premiere on NBC and CBS in 1953. After a four-year run and a 17-year hiatus, the show returned to NBC from 1974 – 1981, with Tom Kennedy and then Jim Lange as the hosts. The reincarnation of the show featured four rounds, including the famous “Golden Medley” round of guessing seven songs in less than 30 seconds. “Name That Tune” featured several famous singers through its run including, Kathie Lee Gifford and Steve March.
