LAUGHLIN, NV—The Colorado Belle Casino Resort completed construction and opened its doors July 4th weekend in 1987. Over the next several months, thousands of visitors flocked to see “The biggest boat in the desert since Noah”.
The property will celebrate the anniversary of the grand opening with spectacular fireworks at 9:30pm on July 4, 2012. Prior to the fireworks display, complimentary cake and champagne will be served from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. The best view of the fireworks will be from the property’s riverwalk. The public is invited to enjoy the refreshments and fireworks.
Laughlin’s landmark property, the Belle is a 600-ft. long replica of a paddlewheel riverboat. Interior décor mimics late 19th century gaming salons with crystal chandeliers, red patterned wall paper and murals throughout the main level and ‘D’ Deck, the restaurant level. The property was acquired by Marnell Sher Gaming in 2007. Since then, the property has undergone a variety of improvements, including room remodels and upgrades in gaming products. This year, the property will complete another room renovation project, updating rooms in both hotel towers.
