LAS VEGAS – November 1, 2013 – The casino at The Westin Las Vegas, located at 160 E. Flamingo Road, just off Las Vegas Boulevard, has a new name to reflect its promise to bring MAXimum fun and MAXimum rewards to players.
As of today, Friday, November 1, 2013, Casuarina Casino is now MAX Casino at The Westin Las Vegas. The name change to MAX Casino is the next step in the continuing improvements at the casino, while acknowledging the property’s popular past as the Maxim Hotel & Casino. The hotel will remain The Westin Las Vegas.
“Updating the casino name is part of our overall strategy to enhance player experience,” said Rory Bedore, Chief Executive Officer of 777 Gaming and 777 Management. 777 Management, an affiliate of 777 Gaming, assumed control of gaming operations at The Westin Las Vegas on May 1, 2012.
With 260 slot machines and 8 table games including craps, roulette, blackjack and three card poker, MAX Casino offers players a boutique gaming experience with personalized, friendly service and easy access parking for local players.
As part of the transition, MAX Casino’s sports book, operated by William Hill, will be moved and expanded to include comfortable club seating and big screen TVs while still providing an intimate, personal experience.
The updates are part of 777’s overall strategy to continue pushing the casino forward. By personalizing service, improving the players club and implementing a variety of other changes, 777’s team has increased gaming revenue at the casino by 28% (Q3 2012 to Q3 2013).
777 has built a strong reputation for turning around underperforming casinos, having successfully managed properties in Las Vegas, Sparks, Carson City, Winnemucca, Hawthorne, Elko and Spring Creek.
Casuarina Club members can transfer their membership and unredeemed points and comps to the new MAX REWARDS players club and receive a commemorative $5 Grand Opening Chip to save, play or cash in.
