  • Hertz might buy out DOLLAR/THRIFTY

If that should pass, will there be higher car rental rates in Vegas ??
I can't see Congress allowing such a deal.

less competition would have me assume higher rates are on the way

Re: Hertz might buy out DOLLAR/THRIFTY

Everyone looks at Hertz as being "high in price". Sometimes this is 100% true. But, I have seen many weekend rates, weekly rates from Hertz that blow the competitions price out of the water. Keep in mind the great benefits that come with Hertz if you're a AAA member as well. One big one is if you have a 2nd driver and they're also a AAA member, there's no additional charge for that driver. Most companies charge $25 or more a day for an extra driver.

This sounds like a huge advertisement for Hertz lol. It's not, I'm just saying Hertz gets a bad rap sometimes. Unfortunantly it seems like there's no middle with them. They either have the best rate or the worst based on dates of travel when compared to their competition.
