  • Renovation and change at Margaritaville

I rarely like change in Vegas and I've been long dreading what CET might do to that entire corner of the strip and Flamingo. I like the little places. I don't want to see them go, and rumors always seemed to mean mega resort improvement. Most of my visits to O'shea's have dealers talking about looking for work elsewhere because that place was on the chopping block.

However, this article details a different kind of change, with small pockets of enhanced gambling and entertainment emerging within the old traditional structures and perhaps enriching the old themes.
I can't imagine them putting ten million into this Margarittaville improvement and imploding it any time soon.
Perhaps they recognize what Freemont East has done with small scale innovation.
So there is some good in recession. It holds back more megaresorts. Perhaps my O'shea's still has a future.
