I was there 10/2 & 10/3. The orleans now only has smoking on the
17th floor. 100 rooms out of 2000. 5% of rooms for a u.s.
Population of 20% smokers ! And maybe 50% of gamblers smoke.
I did not get a smoking room for the night of 10/2, a sunday.
They put one on hold for 10/3. Pissed me off enough that i
spent the night at vegas club for $16. They lost our play, cost
me $18 total and i was happier downtown. I've stayed at
the orleans 8 years running, but looks like the end of that
road. So, if you smoke, don't go there as they do not
"guarantee" any room type anymore. In fact, the wife went
to the orleans website, there are no smoking rooms available
this october !! Their big guy, tony taeubel, will get my rant
letter soon.
