El Cortez Named to National Register of Historic Places
Re: El Cortez Named to National Register of Historic Places
I have sort of grown out of both. I had a bad night in the Vintage when televisions on both sides at 2am held a duel. I hated that.
Then the Pavillion has no good place for my computer and the noise in the morning when they clean and run those carts right outside the window eliminates sleep.
I've been mostly staying at the Gold Spike instead as I get quiet, the heated pool and Turner Classic movies.
I gamble at Four Queens and get good comps there, three nights over the weekend with freeplay and sometimes food or show deals. When I book I ask for quiet there and if I am already downtown I go early and they will give me an early room most of the time.
Cabana is very nice and the Tower are nice too. You can use the ACG coupon for those with just a little bit of money for an upgrade.

El cortez deserves the recognition. The oldest, still operating casino in the country, same building, same spot, hard to believe it was there in 1941.

thanks Dewey. I have a free night, not specified, if I have a choice, what would you suggest. By the way I think they filmed parts of the "Cooler"
there.

I also read the Golden Gate is the oldest hotel, not sure who opened thier casino first, But I still like the Elcor better, the games there are all much better.
