  • Harlow's Casino Resort: Disappointment

Well, I had high hopes for Greenville and Harlow's. I talked on the phone to the poker room host and they promised some very cheap poker rate and I'd read that folks enjoyed this fine, new place. But for live poker it was a bust.

When I got there the first time, they told me they had changed up the hours and did not even start games until 4 PM.

So I came back at 4 only to find a dead empty room with four names on the list.
I waited an hour and never saw another person in the room all that time. So I readjusted my two nights in Greenville, caught some cheap rooms in Tunica and went up there.

I did like the cashback which I think might be the highest. For just a bit of play I got $5 back quickly and on nickel video poker. In fact, this was the absolute best nickel VP I saw in Mississippi or Louisiana, full 8/5 pay for Bonus poker. I played until I earned my free keychain, a fine little Harlow's hat by the way, and then I cashed in, breaking even with the $5 cashback figured in.

I did think the rest of the casino was fine looking and sparkling. If they had poker there at any consistent rate, I'd have been happy to stay there. The drinks were good.
