I swore the last time I came to the Showboat that it would be my last, but my friends wanted to try again. This was my 6th trip to the Showboat. I had the list showing that they run the tightest slots in Atlantic City. It was not just my imagination. But again I went and I have to say the slots were no better on this trip. I was sitting there begging for a cherry and ended up calling it quits. I love the atmosphere, it is nice and bright and very clean. The food service is very good and priced well for the most past. The crowd was a little younger than at most casinos in Atlantic City.
I am 47 years old and still felt like the old man at the tables and pretty much overall. The Showboat would be a great place to stay and play if they would just loosen up the slots some. I would go there everytime if that were the case. I travel to AC 4-5 times per year. Last but not least, I wish they had more cocktail waitresses. I found myself waiting 10-15 mins for a drink.
