  • Route 66 Casino: My favorite casino in the nation

I love this casino. It's big, they bring in new machines often, it's very clean, and you can play a while and have fun even if you don't win big. The casino is great. I haven't played table games or had much to do with customer service or the players club. Their buffet used to be wonderful, but since they expanded it and raised the prices, it leaves me as cold as the food I ate last time. What used to be a more intimate seating area is now like the common area of a mall with tables in it, the noise level is loud, and by the time you walk down the very lengthy buffet and back to your table, your food is cold. I wish they had not remodeled and "improved" their buffet, I won't go back again. Their KXX nightclub is where you can have some alcohol although not allowed to take it out to the casino floor. The problem I found with it is that they must take the name "nightclub" very seriously, having a "dress code" and a very snobbish attitude -- dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, I was ignored by the staff for the most part and received sneering disdainful looks when they did serve me. Again, I won't go back in there. BUT.... I will continue to go to the casino for the slot machines, where I have a good time and staff members you see are all smiling and friendly, including the cashier cage.
