  • Pompano Beach, Florida casino

The best kept secret in Pompano Beach was let out of the bag saturday when The Isle Casino opened its doors without ANY kind of fanfair, advertizing or publicity. We even signed up for any emails promotions and were ignored.

Anyhow, the casino is now open with 1,500 slots boasting the HIGHEST payback percentage of 92% among the three casinos now open. This secrecy was even more superlative than Gulfstream's opening.

How do you know the machines return 92%?

They just opened yesterday at 10am and there hasn't been time to get slot statistics from the state.

You are always free to quote a newspaper story. You just can't post the whole story as it would infringe on their copyright.

I still don't understand how they can say the slots at Pompano pay 92% when the machines just opened.

I checked the stats on 4/1/07 on the state's web site. Gufstream returned 90.48% and Mardi Gras was 91.22%.

I thought that they could control the payout with what they set the chip to pay out ??????????????

I agree with Gator.......isn't the payout percentage already determined at the time the chip is inserted into the machine?

              Re: Pompano Casino

The percentage payback is determined by the chip, but all machines don't have the same percentage chip.

Usually, the higher the donomination, the higher the percentage it is programmed to pay back.

Also, the percntage programmed into the chip is a long-term number. Anything can happen in the short-term and there days when casinos lose money on some slot machines.

You can't tell the overall payback percentage for a casino's machines until you have information on what they actually paid back to the public.
