I have read a lot of reviews about Imperial Palace (IP) and most of them are negative. This hotel is the first one we stayed at and the only one we will stay at as long as it is open. It just feels like home to us. You can't ask for a better location being smack dab in the middle of the strip. The monorail station in the back is truly a blessing and makes getting all over the strip so much easier. The buffet is marginal but with the Buffet pass that harrah's introduced last year, it is a nice place to grab a mid-afternoon snack or a quick bite. The staff is very courteous and helpful. If you come to vegas to spend a lot of time in your room then you may want to stay somewhere else as the rooms are small, but if you are here like we are to play and only need a decent place to sleep then this is your hotel. Elevators are a little slow on weekends but there are two banks of them and with a little luck your wait will be short.I agree with the other reviews that the dealertainers make the place. regardless if you play table games or the slots, there is such a great variety that everyone will find something.
