An independent hotel/casino that seems to exist in another have to phone them to make reservations, and can't do this via their website. A large percentage of locals who seem to have been at the bar (mostly) or at the slots for decades. But when was the last time that you could find slots that still paid out in tokens rather than TITOs (though most are ticket in, ticket out). A low rise hotel...actually more of a 2 story motel. You can safely drive up at almost any time and get a room without a reservation. If you want to understand what Laughlin, or even vegas, looked like 20 years ago, go to the Pioneer, which hasn't changed a bit. Just don't expect fancy martinis at the bar, or small-craft beers and you will be fine
