  • Bills Gamblin Hall & Saloon: Short Walk From Your Room To The Street

Yes, this is a small hotel, built in 1976. Yes, it has only 2 real eating choices: a coffee shop and a steakhouse. And yes, it has a small gaming floor and few if any of the latest slot machines. But on the much larger "plus" side, where else have you never (in 2 separate trips) had to wait in line to check in, or had to walk more than a minute once you have gotten off the elevator to your room? As the title notes, there are no long hallways, long waits for an elevator, and once you are out the elevator, the door to the outside is about 25 feet away. The tables are almost always busy, and the bar crowd is fun. The rooms are strangely laid out (the bathrooms are at the back of the room, but on the plus side, they all have a functioning window to the outside...when was the last time you were in a bathroom with a real window?Even if you don't like the small casino, stay here for the great prices and the great location, and gamble elsewhere.
