  • Tropicana Resort & Casino: Casino looks better than ever

What a makeover. Casino and rooms looked better than ever. I loved the way they opened up the gaming floor; nice open spaces between slot machines and table games not crowded together anymore. Good selection of new and old slot machine games. Has a nice coconut smell throughout the casino that covers up the old tired smoke smell that the casino used to have. The bar by the elevators is great for watching football and the bartenders were excellent; plus good video poker machines at the bar. The players club employees were very friendly and did an excellent job. The new players club benefits are excellent also, with the player being able get money back that same day of a loss. The downside was that the casino doesn't have a buffet anymore and I thought the new restaurants were overpriced and the food wasn't that great. Had trouble sometimes finding a drink girl playing slots and video poker some nights. The biggest downfall is that the hotel charges you over $11 per night for a resort fee, I guess they want the hotel guests to pay for the remodeling super quick.
