  • St. Croix Casino - Danbury: Tightest casino with no care for you

Don't go to the Danbury St. Croix Casino! Just don't even be tempted (check their ratings)This casino has changed. It "used" to be Hole in the Wall. They tore it down and built new. Now, the machines are so tight to pay for their new building. They had money troubles while building. Now, they're making up for it by being the tightest casino around (I suspect the whole 50 state area)I've decided to stay the heck out of there. I live very close (walking distance), but would rather drive to Hurtel or Hinkley, MN casino, then to ever go back to St. Croix (old hole in the wall)I mean, look at their star rating. 2 1/2? That is VERY telling and should be enough to warn people to stay the heck away from them! The food prices are very high, for the quality (used to be good) Customer service? Only a few good employees remain, the rest are so new, they haven't a clue about anything. They lowered their employees pay from the old place and expected them to stay. This isn't a bitter review due to my personal loss. I'm responsible for my gambling and I know that, no matter where you go. And, I would have given them 5 stars across the board, IF it had been about the "old" Hole in the Wall. When a person could play a slot their for about an hour before going broke. If you bring along only $100, be prepared to be out of money in about an hour. That's on a good day.I used to be able to play a long while (couple to a few hours), come home short, but be happy cause I, stayed awhile, met great people and had a good time. Now though, you put a $20.00 in and it's done in less then 5 minutes (I am serious) Save your money, go to Hinkley or Hurtel (Hurtel is a very tiny casino tho)Hope this helps you and saves you some bucks and grief!
