So after my first visit to the Horseshoe, my impression is beautiful, but maybe not for me. At least not right now. If you are a serious Blackjack player it is hard to see 'the shoe' as your best place to play. First, the dealer must hit on soft 17, this increases the house edge by .22 percent. Benny is rolling over in his grave somewhere. Next, there are only 5 spots per table, while the excuse may be lack of space, the reality is this increases demand and table limits. As would be expected with a new venue, dealer quality is hit or miss. Player quality is horrible, if it bugs you when people hit hard 12 against a 14, or don't take a card when they have hard 14 against a dealers 9, this is not the place for you. Over all, a beautiful place to play and a Welcome addition to Cleveland, but the serious player is better off in WV with the smoke.
