  • Virtual Racing™ NASCAR® Debuts at Golden Nugget Las Vegas Fourth of July Weekend

Exciting new promotion July 3 – 5 will give away over $44,000 and features multiple daily races

LAS VEGAS – Las Vegas, start your engines! Golden Nugget Las Vegas will host a brand new casino promotion, Virtual Racing NASCAR, July 3-5. Created by Bally Technologies, Virtual Racing NASCAR allows eligible players at any video reel machine to participate in a casino-wide race for their share of over $44,000 in free slot play.

To be eligible, players must earn 74 points two hours prior to a race. Daily races will be held Thursday, July 3 through Saturday, July 5 at 2p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m., 8 p.m., 10 p.m. and Midnight.

If players are eligible, the screen on their video reel machine will prompt them to choose from famous NASCAR drivers, such as Clint Bowyer, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick and Jimmie Johnson. Once drivers are selected, players can cheer on their pick as they race for the checkered flag. Races use archived footage of actual NASCAR® events, which will be displayed on each player’s machine and several TV monitors on the casino floor.

Guests who select the top three winning drivers will split a prize pool of $2,500 in free slot play for each race, totaling over $44,000 of free slot play throughout the weekend. Prize money will automatically upload to the player’s 24KT card as well!

“Our brand new gaming technology was just installed throughout the casino, and we are excited to bring this promotion to our guests and give them the chance to compete against each other while enjoying the thrill of watching a NASCAR® race,” said John Colville, Vice President of Special Events at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas. “It’s one of the many exciting promotions that we get to experience with Bally Technologies.”

Bally Technologies has licensed the NASCAR brand across its games and systems businesses since 2012.
