  • Boulder Station in Las Vegas unveils new-look race and sports book

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (March 14, 2016) – Boulder Station’s race & sports book has a new look and feel just in time for one of the biggest sporting events of the year. The update is part of Station Casinos’ reinvestment in their sports book technology and the company’s continued commitment to providing the best overall experience for guests. State-of-the-art high-resolution displays, large-format video presentations and an electronic odds display system will replace existing televisions and odds boards, significantly elevating the viewing experience.

At Boulder Station’s race and sports book, new LED technology will supplant all plasma televisions as screen sizes increase from 58-inches to 80-inches to provide clearer and brighter video that can be seen easily from any distance. The projection screens have been retired to make way for three video walls, ranging from 184-inches up to 220-inches of diagonal displays. The large-format displays are also equipped with full high-definition technology, allowing for crisp video via the utilization of four HD feeds at one time.

Boulder Station will also say goodbye to the classic white boards and hand-written odds with the introduction of a universal electronic odds display system to the property. Large 80-inch and 90-inch displays mounted horizontally and vertically will provide electronic odds data in an ultra-clear, readable format in real time for both race and sports. Odds data set at Red Rock Resort, Station Casinos’ race and sports book hub, will be instantaneously linked through this dynamic system. Furthermore, the book will see the addition of three high-resolution sports information tickers, a 33-foot stream alongside the new odds displays and two 18-foot long tickers flanking the main 220-inch video wall, allowing guests to stay up-to-date with live scores, relevant sporting news and headlines instantly.

The 300-seat book features 20-inch personal television monitors at half of its chairs, eight lounge tables, a sports bar with six of its own televisions and a dedicated VIP area, providing multiple options to sit back and enjoy all the action.

Station Casinos’ substantial investment in its race and sports book operations has created an unparalleled viewing environment, with the implementation of advanced technology allowing for space flexibility for large-scale sporting and race events and the opportunity to view multiple games and races across the country on the biggest and best screens the city has to offer. Guests can also enjoy round-the-clock action from the book or from the comfort of their own home with Sports Connection Mobile, Station Casinos’ mobile gaming app that is available to anyone in Nevada 21 years and older.

Boulder is the first of five race and sports book renovations across Station Casinos’ properties this year, with upgrades also coming to Green Valley Ranch, Sunset Station, Santa Fe Station and Palace Station.
