  • Tropicana Atlantic City to Offer new Multimedia Light and Sound Shows this Summer

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (March 30, 2016) – For the second year in a row The All New Tropicana Atlantic City is celebrating summer with a bang! On Friday, May 27, 2016 at 8 p.m. Tropicana will kick off the summer with a celebration unveiling five new featured shows for its Multimedia Sound & Light Show followed by a heart-pounding fireworks performance on the Boardwalk. The free Multimedia Light and Sound Shows will continue nightly, while the fireworks performances will repeat every Saturday night through September 10th.

NEW Multimedia Light and Sound Show

Tropicana is taking their Multimedia Light and Sound Show to a whole new level by partnering with the world famous Moment Factory, whose resume includes multimedia shows for Walt Disney, Madonna and Microsoft to name a few. The result will be an even more immersive experience featuring interactive sound and lighting and mind-blowing visuals. The new and improved shows will debut Memorial Day Weekend and consist of five fantasy-themed light and sound shows: The Illusion Show, The Sailor’s Log, Pinball Magic, Fauna and The Stroll.

Tropicana’s free Multimedia Light & Sound show has been described by ABC News Philadelphia as “Times Square meets Boardwalk.” Featured shows play nightly on the Boardwalk starting at dusk with shows at 8:30pm, 9pm, 9:30pm, 10pm, 10:30pm and 11pm. Schedule is subject to change.

    NEW Fireworks Performances

In addition to the improvements to its Multimedia Light and Sound Show, Tropicana will light up the night sky with heart-pounding fireworks starting Friday, May 27 at 10 p.m. The fireworks performances will continue every Saturday night from June 4 through September 10, 2016 at 10 p.m.

“We initially came up with the idea of fireworks last year as a way to showcase our new Multimedia Light and Sound Show on the boardwalk. The response from locals and visitors alike was so overwhelmingly positive that we had just had to bring back the weekly fireworks this year,” said Steve Callender, General Manager of Tropicana Atlantic City.

“We pride ourselves in offering MORE at Tropicana, and this is yet another reason for guests to visit Tropicana. Last year’s fireworks not only drew more traffic to Tropicana and its outlets on the Boardwalk, but it attracted attention and visitation to Atlantic City as a whole,” said Callender.

Tropicana’s weekly fireworks performances will be produced by Fireworks by Grucci, a sixth-generation family-owned company world-renowned for their pyrotechnic artistry and scientific innovation. Called “America’s First Family of Fireworks,” the Gruccis have transformed the night skies to the delight of millions across the globe since 1850.
