  • Sam's Town easy with comps

I don't expect to score 3 free rooms from nickel play, but I have done that for this year's trip.
Well, actually it is dime play, since for the good royal payout, I have to bet 10 coins.
I play just the full pay Deuces Wild VP at Sam's Town. Perhaps I play a tiny bit of quarters, but mostly nickels.

So, I have been receiving 3 night offers on B Connected.
    Very generous.
And added to that was their accommodation.

I booked the last 2 nights in November and did not see any December offers yet. So I called. They extended me the extra night in December. Pretty nice.

Every year I get a couple of nights at the Orleans. There too I play nickels, but a three line progressive. 9/7 DB with three royal progressives is not bad, especially on a Young at Heart Wednesday when I can eat multiple times for free, get in a drawing, and then see the lounge act, the Nite Kings.

It gets harder and harder to find frugal deals in Vegas. These are two good ones.

I always like to play at Sam's Town and they were generous with room offers. I used to get three free nights st Sam's Town each month for several years and I used them for each of my two trips to Las Vegas each year. However, they cut it back and now only comp me select days of the month. When I go there next month they want to charge me $95 per night for a Friday and Saturday and it used to be free. I heard that they stop giving you free rooms if you are a winner in the casino. I did well on video poker on my last trip there in February. It makes me think that perhaps this is the reason the free room offer disappeared? Your thoughts?

I'll keep that all in mind. It may be that Sam's just reached out, seeing that Orleans and Biloxi both show my play. Gold Coast does that sometimes with a free offer, although I don't play there but just use it as a paid back up to the Orleans room.
It is helpful to learn that your play, much stronger than mine, is not seeing freebies.
This might be a one trip deal, but it worked well for me as I am in the process of leaving downtown as my hub for trips and moving to other places, Boulder being one.
As you know, my trips are 20 or so days long to get the full value of airfare. I can't take free rooms for that length of time and have bankroll to play to keep them in losing stretches.
This trip I think I have balanced my comps and cheap room nights.
If I take out of my expenses the overpriced nights at Red Rock in order to meet my son and hike the Canyon, the rest of my trip my nightly costs (taxes and all) average at $27 a night. And I need only feel obligated to gamble at Orleans and Sam's to maintain offers and all of that on nickel/dime machines. So I can pump coins into those places and see how I do.
That is pretty good stats for me.
I play a good bit of low limit live poker, for which there are no room comps or even decent poker rate deals. So, I don't need as much bankroll for this trip.
Of course, I can't be certain to meet the interesting fellow gamblers I met on last year's trip.
