Next to the Orleans, the Goldcoast buffet runs second.

But, I've only eaten their buffet once. A friend from CT couldn't make it, but I digress.

Orleans and GC, both being Boyd properties, must use the same food suppliers.

In that context, you should have a great meal at a REASONABLE buffet price.

Everyone has their preferences, but I prefer the breakfast buffet at the Gold Coast over the one at the Orleans.

I'd say Gold Coast, hands down.

We were never really enamored of the Orleans buffet but would make a special trip to the Gold Coast.

I tried to win free buffets by playing video poker at the Gold Coast, but couldn't make my money last long enough. Has anyone found any full pay video poker at the GC?

The VP inventory is pretty good though you won't find any 100% schedules. The best games are DBDW, NSUD, 9/6 JOB and BP.

Whenever you want to find out what pay schedules/games are offered at a particular casino, you best resource is VPFree2, but keep in mind schedules are always subject to downgrade and machines are often moved. Here is the link to Gold Coast's page on VPFree2:

We are having another contest for July. The five prizes are a certificate for dinner for two at Du-Par's at the Golden Gate Hotel & Casino in downtown Las Vegas. The maximum value of the certificate is $50.
