  • New PA casinos

Pennsylvania has just opened its seventh casino near Harrisburg. Those seven plus the two in New York (Monticello and Yonkers Raceways) have been hurting Atlantic City.

According to the New Jersey Casino Control Commission, the cities 11 casinos January revenue has decreased 10%, which is a tremendous amount of money.

Two casinos reported decreases of almost 22%; none has shown an increase. The year 2007 showed a combined decline in revenue for the first time in 30 years.

Pennsylvania has intentions of having a total of 14 casinos. New York intends to install slot machines at Aqueduct Race Track in the near future.
