  • Four winds New Buffalo good buffet

I'm on a strict diet these days and on the road it is sometimes hard to find a good meal. We stopped for a night near the Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo, Michigan. We did not gamble much. Lost ten dollars in penny slots and some low pay video poker. However, the buffet was a treat for both my wife and I. She rarely likes a buffet, but she loved this one. Much of the food was hot, there were plenty of interesting choices. I am searching out vegetables and I found a great selection here including greens, brussel sprouts, lima beans, and a few assorted and tasty mixes. I did not find too much in fish department, but they did have two kinds of pickled herring. The cold salads were interesting as well. The corn bread was a delight so I went off the diet to have a fine, crunchy piece of that along with some very tasty lentil soup.
I was sorry to see that their poker room with the electronic dealer tables was closed. I could have played at Blue Chip but I just got too tired to make that trip and still have energy for grandkids the next day in Chicago.

I agree it's expensive! But it is great especially the Saturday night seafood buffet!

I only go when I have a comp (i.e from Blackjack play) and/or lots of points to use to offset the expense.
