    Comedy & Laughter

If your dad likes to laugh, Flamingo Las Vegas features two of the funniest guys in town. Known nationwide for his abilities as an infamous “roaster,” Vinnie Favorito relies on his quick wit and stellar memory to crack impromptu jokes. If dad likes the roasts on Comedy Central, he’ll love Favorito, who performs in Bugsy’s Cabaret. Performing in the Flamingo Showroom is “The New Mr. Vegas,” George Wallace, who derives his comedy from media to relationships to dialogue clichés and is known as “the guy who can roll the room over if it’s dead.” Stop by the merchandise stand afterwards and pick up an “I Be Thinkin’” t-shirt or a copy of Wallace’s Large & In Charge DVD. Also check out Eddie Griffin at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino or Jeff Civillico at The Quad. Or if dad prefers a comedy club setting, take him to The Improv at Harrah’s, LA Comedy Club at Bally’s or Sin City Comedy at Planet Hollywood.

    Artistic Productions

Does dad enjoy daredevil antics and off-the-wall comedy? Then treat him to ABSINTHE, named the “Best Adult Show” by the Las Vegas Review-Journal located at Caesars Palace. One part vivid imagination, two parts carnival and a shot of old world burlesque mixed with a heavy dash of decadence, ABSINTHE is sure to amaze and inspire dad this Father’s Day. Has dad always dreamed of being in a band? Then take him to Recycled Percussion at The Quad, Las Vegas’ #1 interactive show as seen on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.” Grab drumsticks and an instrument as you enter the theater, or just kick back and watch the most exciting show on the Strip!

    Magic

Add a little magic in dad’s special day by taking him to see some of the best magicians Las Vegas has to offer. Performing inside Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino, dad can enjoy an edgy, provocative and hilarious performance by the “Bad Boys of Magic,” Penn & Teller. While they may reveal the secrets to their tricks, they’ll still leave dad startled and amazed. Inside of Harrah’s Las Vegas, the Mac King Comedy Magic show is a unique act that contains an unusual combination of quirky humor, visual gags and astounding sleight of hand. Because of King’s quick wit and extensive audience interaction, no two shows are alike.

    Musicals

Rock out with your dad this Father’s Day with two of the best musicals on the Strip. Tony® Award-winning musical Million Dollar Quartet at Harrah’s Las Vegas, tells the story of the greatest rock ‘n’ roll jam session in history featuring Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley. Or check out Jersey Boys at Paris Las Vegas, winner of Best Musical accolades on Broadway, in London and Australia. This blockbuster phenomenon takes you up the charts, across the country and behind the music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. Make sure to stop by the Jersey Boys retail store for a selection of great gifts dad is sure to love, including a Jersey Boys coffee mug or a copy of the Jersey Boys show CD.

    Resident Headliners

If dad prefers more of a concert feel, take him to watch some of the Strips hottest resident headliners. Named the “Best Show in Las Vegas,” by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, let America’s most-loved brother-sister duo, Donny & Marie, entertain dad with chart-topping hits and energetic dance moves inside the Flamingo Showroom. Or have dad join the “Soul Patrol” with Taylor Hicks at Paris Las Vegas. The first “American Idol” winner to secure a residency in Las Vegas, Hicks’ unique take on southern soul, R&B, country and blues set him apart from the rest of the contestants. After the show, stop by the merchandise table to meet Hicks and pick up a signed harmonica or a can koozie.

The Colosseum is home to some of the greatest entertainers in the world and offers an array of entertainment options. Chart-topping comedic phenomenon, Jeff Dunham performs on Friday, June 14 and Jerry Seinfeld, returns to the venue Sept. 6 and 7. Other headliners that dad may enjoy include the legendary Rod Stewart who performs several dates this July and Aug. with his show Rod Stewart: The Hits. Or you can gift dad with tickets to a show this fall, with either world-renowned singer, songwriter and performer Elton John in his critically acclaimed show, “The Million Dollar Piano,” or the world’s best-selling female country artist of all time, Shania Twain in her show SHANIA: STILL THE ONE.
