This machine is no more likely to slot up now than it ever was. It is a good example of why not to play slots.

Is Theo what you named your net worth? If its theoretical, its probably not worth it. But if its fun, priceless.

Does anyone know if this was hit yet? I forgot to check it out when I was there.

You are correct sir. The last time I tried it, I couldn't even pick up a 3 comped night.

MGM is not known to throw comps around, you would probably need to play the slots for the 3 nights before they know you're in the building.

I saw a picture of this Lions share slot machine from march of 2011 and the meter was 2.22 million and now its around 2.4 mill. This is a real slow ticker. I wonder what is was set at 20 years ago.

They said in the story that it would be reset to $1 million. So I assume that was the original jackpot amount?

However, once it gets hit I think people would lose all interest in playing it.

So it took 20 years to go from 1 million to 2.34 million, and people are standing in line to play it. I don't think its getting reset, I read somewhere its to old to keep using, its not even TITO. They are going to give the machine to the next winner.

If it is a fair slot machine, it is no more likely and no less likely than it ever was. However, the progressive jackpot is higher, so by that measure it has a higher expected value and thus is a better bet. On the other hand, the jackpot barely seems to be keeping up with inflation. But then again, the price of entry declines with inflation, since $3 today is worth about $1.90 in 1994 dollars. So it's probably about a wash. In any case, I agree that it is a good example of why not to play slots.
