  • Palms FPDW progressives

Frank Kneeland posted the following on the VPFree website:

I (am) sorry to report that the progressive FPDW have been permanently removed. Or at
least that's what the casino manager told me. The new owners put their foot down
and insisted that there were to be no loss leaders.

The old staff fought as hard as they could to keep them, but to no avail.

It is getting worse over at the Palms. Another poster on the VPFree board has provided the following update:

Just to let you all know that a bunch of full pay machines are gone. Was at the
palms an hour ago and the 10 upright dollar progressive DB machines are now 9/7.
All the full pay machines that were near the FPDW bank are missing completely.

Well, time to write that place off my list. In general, I was pretty much done anyway because there never was any chance for room offers.
We can figure too that this is what Gold Coast saw coming so that they reduced their JOB 9/6 at the bar without worry of competition. I wonder what will happen there now. Orleans has no decent VP left. I always suspected the Gold Coast kept their inventory so as to offer a good alternative to the Palms.

Well, I'm glad I switched my major gambling dollar to live poker.
This is even more reason to be downtown.
