HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (March 9, 2009) – Seminole Casinos will unveil the largest amount of money ever publicly showcased in a casino with a $5 million traveling cash display. Plus, Seminole Player’s Club members have a chance to win $1 million simply by swiping their Wild Card at a designated kiosk. The debut kicks off at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood on March 18.
Come to Seminole Casinos during the exhibition dates for an incredible photo opportunity and the chance to become Florida’s next millionaire! As an added bonus, each casino may provide additional opportunities to win cash or prizes, such as merchandise, free play and food and beverage offers.
“We’re hoping to help stimulate the economy by creating some new millionaires in Florida,” said John James, chief operating officer of Seminole Gaming.
This first-of-its-kind exhibit that consists of $100 bills encased in a 1,300-pound, custom-made $90,000 bullet-resistant Lexan showcase is currently being submitted to Guinness World Records.
The display was manufactured in Las Vegas especially for this record-setting event; it will travel nearly 1,000 miles within the state over the course of about 40 days, allowing as many visitors as possible to experience the once-in-a-lifetime sight of $5 million in cash.
The traveling display will stay at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood until March 20. Then, it will make the circuit to the other Seminole Casino properties including Seminole Casino Immokalee (March 23-29), Seminole Casino Brighton (April 6-, Seminole Casino Coconut Creek (April 14-19), Seminole Casino Hollywood - Classic (April 23-26), a return to Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood (May 8-16) and Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa (May 18-25).
