  • Anyone know info on Seminole Casino Hollywood's Free Play Promos?

I play at the Seminole Casino in Hollywood, Florida because they sometimes have great promotions.

One of the promos is $25 in Free Play for getting 100 points on your player's club card. 100 points is equal to $100 in slot play or $200 in video poker play.

Sometimes they send me that offer, but other times they send me a different offer of $10 in Free Play for getting 50 points on my player's club card.

Does anyone know how much play is required to trigger the better offer?

Sorry Steve, but you are mistaken in points awarded at the "Seminole Classic". Often rederred to as "Seminole Bingo".

Slot points are now (early June) $2.00 coin in = 1 player point on the slots. They are $10.00 coin in = 1 point on the Roulette. I do not know the VP cash in - point since I do not look at the VP machines very often. The pay tables last time I did look were terrible. That may have changed.

There was one slot machine near the players club that somehow got 'overlooked', and was still paying points at the $100 coin in = 1 point ratio in late MAY. I forgot to look at it since.

They also took out the two "advantage machines" they had near the cashiers. I don't mind that, since the few times I found an advantage, I lost.

I have often tried to get the percentage payback info on their machines. I know many of the upper echelon employees, but have been totally unsuccessful in my effort.

I do frequent the "Seminole Classic" because of the GREAT poker promotions. Aces cracked wins $100 four days/week with limited quantities of them. (First 10 begins at certain times)

I have no idea what is required to trigger better mail offers. talk to Amin (CS Supervisor) or one of the hosts. Perhaps they can tell you.

Point redemption is 400 points = $1.00 No cashback, but you can "buy" free play. They used tp offer "double" free play on certain days during the "summer" (June-July-August). I don't expect to see that this year. For years I've 'saved' my points, using them for the buy double free play offer.

The buffet is one of those "worth the money if you're not too picky" types. I've found that if I ask a host, I can frequently get it comped, even though I don't earn a lot of points on slots. No points are given for poker players. Warren (Poker Mgr) has looked into player tracking, but I don't know whether they'll go for it.

Incidentally, the coin in - points is the same at the Hard Rock.

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize that the slots and video poker were on the same system where $2= 1 point.

I assumed that the system was set up the same way as at the Hard Rock and I know thier system, when they first started, awarded 1 point for $1 on slots or 1 point for $2 on video poker. Did they change over too and now treat slots and video poker the same?

By the way, they removed the card readers from the electronic roulette games and you can't earn points on them anymore.

The best VP I found in the casino is $5 8/5 Bonus Poker. It's not too bad a game if you can afford the huge bankroll it requires.

One of their better promotions is also getting $100 in free play for earning 500 points. THey run that periodically, but you have to look for signs in the casino that annouce it. They don't seem to send out mailers on it.

Also, points you earn at the old casino can be redeemed at the Hard Rock and they sometimes send me mailers for redeeming points for free play at 1.5 times the normal redemption rate.

What amazes me about the Seminole Casino is that when I stand on line at the player's club I see a lot of people who are in the "Elite" members line. They get faster service because of this and they must put 100,000 points on their card within a three-month period in order to achieve that status. Since $2 on slots/video poker equals one point, these players have to put $200,000 through the machines within a three-month period.

How can those players afford to do that? Playing slots with an average hold of 10% would mean they are losing about $20,000 within a 3-month period, or close to $7,000 a month.

There seems to be a working-class crowd in that casino and they certainly don't look like they afford to gamble at those levels. How can so many of them have "elite" membership?

I do not know what the coin in = points is for VP. I do know it's $2.00=1 point for the slots. Also for the Class 2 machines IF they have any left on the floor. I know the Hardrock did last time I stopped by, in late MAY.

Any points in your account can be used (spent) at ANY Seminole property/joint. The Creek or Tampa, I believe Brighton, don't remember if there are any others, since they offer such a bad gamble. Although I will put a few bucks into machines, I primarily play poker for the promotions which are usually easy to hit. I've hit a couple of "big" Casino drawings as a result of winning entries with a quality poker hand. I had $2500 Free Play in May from a drawing win. Redeemed it for $2090.00, and played 15-20 different machines doing so. Had my name drawn 3 times this year for casino promotions. The first got me $200 Free Play, the second $750 cash.

As for all those "Elite" players, .....well, I'd be happy to tell you in person, but not in writing. Ahem.

And I recently saw someone collect over $7000 on 3 hand paid jackpots, who left the casino BROKE. I mean totally broke. So nothing surprises me. But there is a story, or situation behind the 'elite' lines.

The VP point system is the same as for slots. $2 = 1 point.

I figured something had to be up with that "elite" line because if you go to the Hard Rock there is hardly ever anybody on that line, even though they have more higher denomination machines and they draw so many more people.

Drop me a line at [email protected] and maybe we can arrange a meeting over at the casino?

I'm leaving the 8th for 8 days in Vegas.

After I return and get back into my poker promotions routine.

I'm not sure how much play it take to earn a point but was told at Seminole Coconut Creek that it takes 1000 points to get $4 in comps at the buffet. Pretty tough way to go with tight machines & VP.

At the Hard Rock, and "Classic" (the original next door), $2.00 coin in = 1 point.
                400 points = $1.00

I'd be surprised if it's different at Coconut Creek.
