On June 1st, the Golden Gate will introduce the Best Free Play Program in Town:
100 points = $1.00 Free Play

For slot players, this means:
$1 slot coin in = 1 point
100 points = $1 free play
Starting June 1st, points will be worth 5x as much as before and players will receive 5x as much free play.

For video Poker players,
$4 video poker coin in = 1 point
100 points = $1 free play
Starting June 1st, points will be worth 2 ½x as much as before and players will receive 2 ½x as much free play.

Old points are included. Players visiting after June 1st will be able to redeem their existing points at the new redemption rate of 100 points = $1.

The Golden Gate has set out to give their players the best Free Play program in Las Vegas – plain and simple – without taking away from other benefits.

I got info on that in the mail from them too, I think they can afford to do this because their slots are very tight and they have bad video poker. If I play there it's usually just to play blackjack on a Friday or Saturday night and enjoy looking at the female dealers (surprisingly they still pay 3/2).
