SEPTEMBER IS NATIONAL BREAKFAST MONTH
Dig in to satisfying breakfasts at either of Downtown Grand’s breakfast spots and celebrate the most important meal of the day. S+O Restaurant offers a wide selection of breakfast dishes, such as the Jackpot Breakfast featuring three eggs, chorizo hash, house potatoes and toast, and “Talk of the Town” cinnamon roll waffles, from 11 p.m. to 11 a.m. daily. The Commissary serves up hearty breakfast burritos and strawberry, banana or indulgent cajeta crepes from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.

This fall, Art Bar continues to offer its expanded food menu designed to foster stimulating conversation and good cheer among locals and visitors alike. The menu is available daily during operating hours, from 2 to 10 p.m. An extra stroke of genius— EVERYTHING at Art Bar is offered at 50 percent off the regular price from 5 to 7 p.m. each day. Dishes include Charcuterie Experience: Chef’s choice cured pork, prosciutto, pate, cornichon, house pickles; Cheese 4 Ways: Daily selection of four artisan cheeses, crostini, fig compote; Spinach Artichoke Dip: Housemade baby spinach and artichoke dip with fried pita chips and two new hearty sandwiches: French Dip: Slow-roasted rib sliced thin, Swiss cheese, toasted hoagie roll, au jus and the award-winning OMG! THE COMMISSARY LATIN KITCHEN BY RICHARD SANDOVAL
Starting Sept. 4, The Commissary will launch new operating hours. Its Coffee Café will be open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. Lunch, including tacos, brisket, burgers and salads will be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. A new Bar Bites menu, which includes specialties such as lomo saltado (a Peruvian dish of beef, poblano peppers, onions and tomatoes with house fries) and spicy crab guacamole, will be available from 3 to 10 p.m. each day. The Commissary’s Happy Hour, featuring $4 drinks such as margaritas, mojitos, draft beer and house wine, takes place daily from 4 to 7 p.m.

DOWNTOWN3RD
On Thursday, Sept. 11, the annual Las Vegas Firefighters 9/11 Tribute and March will take place. The procession of nearly 300 firefighters, police officers, military personnel and community leaders will begin at 7:30 p.m. The march will proceed to Stewart Ave. and pause for a moment of silence with bagpipe performers at the stage on Fremont St. and 3rd St. The procession will conclude on Downtown3rd.

Guests are raving about Downtown Grand’s newest campaign: Dollar Daze. Dollar specials are offered every day for MYPOINTS Downtown Grand members. For $3, receive an S+O cheeseburger or specialty shot. For the shot, guests can select from a Fireball, Jägermiseter, Crown Royal, Southern Comfort or Patrón. Beginning Sept. 11, every Thursday, guests will laugh out loud at the Grand Laughs Comedy Club Hosted by Paul Scally. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. every Thursday night. The show begins at 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Guests must be 21 and over. The comedy series will showcase Las Vegas’ best local comics.
Also in September, for six performances only, catch “Wizard of Song” with George Bugatti. Dates include Sept. 5, 12, 19 and 26, as well as Oct. 3 and 10. The show begins at 8 p.m. The event is free. These shows are a preview of Bugatti’s performance of “The Wonderful Wizard of Song” on Oct. 17 at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts.
Finally, the Downtown Keys Dueling Pianos will perform every Saturday night from 8 p.m. to midnight.
MOB BAR is open Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.

It’s fall but the pool party at PICNIC continues. Experience Downtown Rooftop Pool Parties every Saturday and Sunday in September from 12 to 6 p.m. DJs will provide live music. PICNIC is free for hotel guests and locals (with a two drink minimum).
Whimsical and nostalgic, PICNIC is reminiscent of a ‘50s pool oasis, setting the scene for live entertainment throughout the year. Share a picnic basket and a blanket on the grass. Have a meal at a communal picnic table. Take a dip in the infinity pool. Enjoy a cocktail while taking in the incomparable vistas of Downtown3rd and Fremont Street Experience. Play blackjack under the stars. PICNIC is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily; lunch is available 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. In addition, Thursdays through Sundays during football season, fans can gather at PICNIC to watch games and enjoy bar specials beginning at 5 p.m. until game’s end.

S+O’s brand-new menu is a bona fide crowd-pleaser. New items on the menu were inspired by guests’ most popular requests and will be offered at a variety of price points. In addition, Northern Chinese dishes, including hand-pulled noodles and dim sum, will be available at S+O for lunch and dinner daily. New items include Breakfast Burritos (steak-and-egg and chorizo-and-egg varieties); Breakfast Tacos filled with scrambled eggs, bacon and cheese; and a Waffle Sandwich, featuring a crispy waffle with two eggs, country sausage or smoked bacon and house potatoes with country gravy, as well as “Hangover” Oxtail Soup with hearty braised oxtail and simmered vegetables; The Jalapeño Burger, a special house blend double-meat burger with mounds of jalapeños, American cheese, shredded lettuce and mustard; the Crispy Fish Sandwich served “fish and chips-style” and Jumbo Fried Shrimp served with house fries. S+O’s menu also offers unique Northern Chinese noodle dishes, dumplings, soups and specialty items.

Triple George Grill offers a special theater menu Sept. 4 – 14 in conjunction with Kinky Boots engagement at The Smith Center. Specials dishes and cocktails themed to celebrate the Tony Award-winning musical will be offered each evening on performance days.
In addition, Triple George has expanded its Happy Hour to the outdoor patio beginning in September. Happy Hour takes place Monday through Friday in the bar and on the patio from 4 to 7 p.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, Triple George’s Sidebar offers a Happy Hour from 4 to 10 p.m.
