Sadly Steve, other than 2 wins of Silverton stays with food, I/we have not won any other Vegas sweepstakes. On the plus side, we have won a trip to New Orleans, $1,000 Lowes, a PC, 42" TV, various gift cards for a florist, Best Buy, Bass Pro, Office Depot, Walmart, Amazon, Walgreens, $600 air hockey table, jewelry, Circle K, McDonald's, I-pod shuffle etc. Bunch of small wins, but no cars nor fancy casino contests.

About six years ago I won a national radio contest from Clear Channel when I was the 100th nationwide caller. The prize was a trip for two to the Atlantis Casino & Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas to see a private concert with David Bowie. It was pretty good. They paid airfare, hotel room and gave us $500 to cover food expenses.

There were only about 60 people in the room watching the concert. It was broadcast live on a bunch of Clear Channel stations because he was promoting a new album at the time.

That was the best prize I ever won.

It's a very nice place, but very expensive.

I've been there a few times because I live in south Florida and it's a short trip. They also sometimes offer special deals for Florida residents.

I first went there back in 1970 when it was owned by Resorts International and then by Merv Griffin. That was a long time ago!
