Thought I would put a happy gambling experience on this thread, since I put a negative one on. In July of 2008, I was at a economics conference at the Tuscany. Economics
what a oxymoron! Anyway, I hit a royal at Terribles .25, and I got 3 rd place in there weekly slot tour. My big hit was on my birthday, which is July 22, I still have that ticket, as I got the 3 symbols and ended up with 11,000 pts for the day, in fact that put me in 2nd place. I ended up with $1,000 for the tournament. Ya, Ha.

Congrats!! Wife won $250 in a free slot tourney some years ago at Binions--me, never, NEVER, been close in one of those.

I played in one at the Cosmo in July. I came 2nd and won $10 in slot credits.

It was free to enter, so $10 is $10...

Many years ago I stayed at the Plaza in downtown Las Vegas and they had a daily free slot tournament for all hotel guests.

I won first prize, which I think was $200.

I must have been very lucky because I am sure that there were about 1,000 people entered into that tournament.

I hit a royal in spades drawing one card an ace. It was the first royal in a year and a half and that was after 5 trips an average of 6 days each and a good deal of time. It was .25 cents which is the level of the majority of my play. It was on my 1st retirement trip, so I was a happy camper.

my early october trip brought me an exciting run at the 4 queens. i took a 20 dollar free play up to 250 and got off the machine with 175. i did lose overall and gave it all back but it was a nice afternoon.

i forgot to tell you that it was on mainly job and a little bonus and double bonus, once on the double bonus i hit a 4oak of 3's,so that really helped and it was very lucky.

this trip a hit a royal job .25 at the 4 queens and the next day hit a straight flush. But I took a beating at the gold coast. Ended up about 300 to the good counting cash backs.

Congrats on your great VP play (and your good luck, of course)! Did you hit the royal on the progressive machines along the wall by Magnolia's?

I love the Queens! I'll be there in January (26th thru Feb 1st); hope I do as well as you did!

Those machines get most of my Vegas play. Last trip I was dealt a royal there. I love playing such an advantaged game and then getting cashback, room offers, and freeplay as well.

I'm mostly a low-roller (VP, BJ, and some slots) and, yet, I usually get offers for 2-3 free nights along with $20-$40 free slot play. I love these offers and have become a more loyal Four Queens gambler as a result .... along with the great VP available there! And, of course, the cash back!

Yes the 4 queens is becoming my go to casino. Their comps have been very good. I hit my royal on the machines near the cage.re company
