  • Trump entertainment resorts successfully emerges from reorganization

Atlantic City, New Jersey, February 26, 2016 -- Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc. (the “Company”) announced today that the Company, together with its subsidiaries, has successfully emerged from Chapter 11 reorganization. The reorganized Company will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Icahn Enterprises LP (Nasdaq: IEP).

Today marks the beginning of a new chapter in Trump Entertainment’s operations and growth in Atlantic City. The Company’s Chief Gaming Executive, Mike Mellon, stated: “The Company and its employees are excited to have weathered through these tough times and look forward to the return of Trump Taj Mahal to its prominent position in the Atlantic City market”.

Mr. Icahn, Chairman of Icahn Enterprises, the new owner of the Company commented: “The Taj is one of Atlantic City’s signature properties. Although both Atlantic City and the Taj have had a few tough years, today marks the beginning of the turnaround. Just a few years ago Tropicana was in bankruptcy and its fate uncertain, but since emerging in 2010, we have turned that property around and it has become one of Atlantic City’s
few success stories. I am confident we can and will do the same for the Taj”.

About Trump Entertainment Resorts Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc. owns and operates Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort, located on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey, with approximately 2,500 slot machines, 130 table games and over 2,000 hotel rooms.
