My dog has become less active lately and has problems with his coat. Could it be the food, how can I tell if the food is not suitable, and what should I do in this case?

How do I know if the food is not suitable for my dog?

I noticed that if the dog is super active, then lies down all day, maybe the food is not suitable. If the fur becomes coarse, they say it's also a sign that you need to change the food. I tried an automatic dog feeder because I thought that a stable feeding schedule would help, and it did feel a little better. But if the dog is still acting strangely, it's probably best to take him to the vet to check for sure.
