  • Tropicana changes the way resort fees are charged

At least for some bookings Tropicana has decided to bundle the resort fee with the hotel room charge and to offer the charges upfront and honest.
However, when I called the reservations clerk, she was not aware of that marketing and told me that most reservations would add on the ten dollar reservation fee. On their website there is no mention of resort fee even in the fine print.
Let's hope the upfront trend continues, but I guess it is still complicated to book.

    Hi Dewey:

Matt Weatherford at cheapovegas.com has written a document detailing every hotel in Vegas's resort fees and what the fee includes and how big a ripoff it is.

It's linkable from the left side of www.cheapovegas.com under "Cheapo Extras".
